What brokerage fee should I pay for a yacht sale?

I have a boat valued at about $130k and I'm considering selling it. What's the commission range generally paid to brokers in this instance?

  1. The broker at the marina where I keep my boat charges 10%. If you are paying more then that its too high. If its less, good deal!

  3. Most brokers I've dealt with either charge 5k or 2% of the sale value of the vessel. Whichever is greater.

  4. deal with the marina dude to help you sell the boat  and also what state do you live in at ............  8 to 10 percent is fair and for that the guy selling for you should swab the deck at least once a week .....  your still paying slip rent ...  right ....
