  1. I was interested in feminism for a long time before I discovered this forum. Also, the kids on Singles & Dating were starting to get annoying.

  2. A friend from a Yahoo Group I belong to told me about it (Hi there Jen!).

She kept on bringing these weird and wonderful Qs into the group for discussion, and after a while I thought 'I have to see this place".

    Cheers :-)

  3. i took a class about gender relations last year and had a question, and wanted to know about the public opinion about the gender relations in general so i visited here and looked at some Qs,, found them interesting so i spent more time here.. but this is not the only category i spend most time.. this is actually one of those I feel reluctant to come often because there are so much humiliation going on sometimes. so i try not to be influenced and not to be fooled.

  4. Sheer boredom. And a question about abortion.

  5. i want to let you ladies know how filthy and disgusting and low you really are. for i am a superior being. and you must bow down to me.

  6. I wanted to see what feminists were like. They met my expectations.

  7. Back in January, I was in an another section, and someone was asking the questioner "Are you a femminist? This question belongs to GWS". Later one question stuck out in the main page, and one look here I noticed a MASSIVE demolition of manhood (Femminists ganging up on some people like Ronnie and some others whose names I dont remember) and SAHM's happening at the hands of femminists. I stayed.

  8. Well Proud my darling, I was doing a search on what effects a car crash can have on a fetus. A question from pregnancy and parenting popped up on the search page. At that point I didn't even know this existed. I clicked on it, read it and then opened up my account. I was a regular in pregnancy and parenting for a little while until I stumbled across a question Kiki posted in here that was on the main page. I clicked on it and well I guess the old cliche goes, the rest was history(a long, bloody and quite brutal history)

  9. I think I was forced by my own curiosity to open a question on Y!As main board that asked why women felt they had the right to be on the internet.

  10. The monkeys.

    I don't really remember.

  11. I had just joined Yahoo! Answers to learn more about American political groups' beliefs when I boredly hit the "answer" tab at the top of the page that displays all recent questions asked on YA. One caught my attention, and it was asked from GWS, and I found it to be a generally interesting section, so I stayed.

  12. The women in marriage and divorce were too nice, and the girls in singles and dating were too silly.

I was referred to GWS to find the tough bitter broads ,full of fight

  13. When I first opened my account in April, I would only ask and answer questions in Psychology and Travel - Canada, which is why my Best Answers score is so high.

Other than that, I would just answer questions from the main page. One day I saw, "What is a feminist?" and I was curious what other people would say. When I saw an answer that said, "They are soul sucking demons", I knew my love/hate relationship with GWS had just begun. I later read a question about staying at home versus working, and when I read someone who wrote "Women who work lack the ability to amuse themselves outside of the home", I knew I had to reiterate just how awesome I am in the workplace and out.

  14. My rant about feminism was directed here.

  15. I found an interesting question on the front page of Yahoo Answers back in February.  I came to the forum and slowly started coming here more often until I basically became a regular.

I like NASCAR better actually, but this one updates a lot faster, and NASCAR has troll problems at least as bad as GWS does if you can believe it, maybe worse.  So I come here more often.

  16. I clicked over to the Social Science section right after I registered on Answers.

You know what? I like it here on G&WS. We're more of a community than much of the rest of Yahoo! Answers.

  17. i've been having thoughts and observations regarding life philosophy and gender studies. so, after a while in philosophy, this section is the better place i started to know where i can get answers and views regarding gender stuffs. it's cool especially with all the thumbsings and happening-ness that now kept me more here on gws than philosophy. but speaking of where i started to know, it's all from the suggested section by YA itself

  18. Your question popped up as one similar to what I'd just answered. I didn't realize there was a GWS. I'll have to check it out. Sometimes I'm so invested in the issues though, that I avoid getting into it all. Lame, but true.

  19. I thought GWS was Girls with Slingshots! Oops! :)

  20. can't remember, just stumbled across it one day > and like clvr i really shouldn't spend so much time here! :-)

  21. It was how I discovered yahoo! answers.

I was googling the different types of sexism and it popped up. I got an account to answer a few questions, then stayed in the LGBT, Other - Cultures and Groups, and Religion & Spirituality section, which, at the time, I found more interesting. Then I rediscovered GWS. =]

  22. I was very bored.

So i started to lurk around til i found it.

    I found ......interesting........questions so o i decided to stay.

  23. Discovered it by accident.

  24. Actually, I 'stumbled' across it when I was doing an internet search for something one day.... I never even knew it existed before that. Since then, I've been on the net a LOT! It's quite addictive.... I'm supposed to be studying!

    :-)

  25. Found it by accident about a year ago and realized no one else was playing the cranky old crone role,

  26. this question being on the front page.

  27. I was on the gender part of my psychology course and for an essay on prejudism and ignorance I came here for some inspiration and quotes. The misogynists gave me a lot of help, thanks! But I found it quite an interesting place so stayed.

  28. Just something to do and the questions are interesting.

  29. I thought that the link that i was clicking on was to go to a XXL women p**n site but am glad it wasent :)
