    Al

  3. Revel for raising

    Retreat or tap to lower

    Veteran-USAF

  4. Normally on the base or post they will play "Retreat"  followed by the "National Anthem" at the end of the day, when lowering the base American flag.

When Raising the flag, "To the Colors" is played.  The flag is raised quickly.

"Taps" is generally reserved for "Lights Out" however there are some Veteran's organizations that will use it as part of the flag lowering ceremony.

  5. in the Navy, we called it "Colors"  If you go tot Navy Sounds, I think they have a copy of it there so you can hear it.
