Some burdens that may be incurred by the already sick patient: loss of career and pay; emotional and social damage; mucho time, money, and energy (which likely isn't at one's disposal) to formally "complain", if so desired; unnecessary procedures or tests; perhaps multiple misdiagnoses in records on file that aren't accuate, but there to be used to gauge future unrelated health issues; but, most importantly, missed life opportunties. Just some examples.

BTW: This is not a personal Q. Just curious how medical persons involved are impacted by the error.

  1. K, it has Been my Experience that Most Medical people Make Up their Minds Early On and Disregard Everything Contrary to Their Preconceived Notion, Often to the Great Detriment of the Patient.

EDIT: Gawd Forbid Anyone Should Have Anything Slightly Out of the Ordinary.

EDIT: Unfortunately, the Preconceived Notions Hold On, While people Continue to Decline. Now, There Are Some Things Nobody Can Do Anything About, but Repeatedly Not Recognizing the Real Problem, Precludes any Real Solution.
