on your mouse, left click and hold to move the stick, and right click and pull to hit the ball.  On the right had corner is a cue ball, and you can move the tiny cursor to add speed or direction when you hit.  Good luck.  Best suggestion, just ask your table mate, they typically answer and can be very helpful.  Also practice in the "training" room.
