  1. There are TWO types of HD CABLES.....

Component Cable is a 5 wire HD CABLE that sends it's signal to the TV as a NON-DIGITAL signal...you can experience Minor loss of detail with this cable....

HDMI cable is a single wire HD CABLE that send's it's signal DIGITALLY to the TV set...It RETAINS all the details of the picture, provides Dolby Surround to Amplifiers,  and just makes you feel "Oh SO Good" about your TV and viewing environment !

Some people enjoy their HDMI cables...they buy rediculously priced Monster Cables and brag they have the best, while totally missing the point that the BEST HDMI cables have the HDMI 1.3a specification and that SPEC presently EXCEEDS the requirements of today's TV signal...

So....get the HDMI 1.3a cables here....

    http://www.monoprice.com

And ooooooh look....they've got red and orange and green and different lengths too....

Now, IF YOU ARE STUCK with Component ONLY cables, That is WHERE MONSTER SHINES....Thier cables have a better chance of RETAINING the high frequency details....

But personally, I'd just buy a set of BELKIN cables and call it good....

  2. You need one of these pictured on the list, although when I got v+ box I got a HD Cable with it so I would be phoning Virgin Media.

  3. Use an HDMI cable. This is the one that looks like a cable with funny shaped USB plugs on the end.

If your tv doesn't have an HDMI socket then you must use the SCART connectors because the VBox doesn't support component output.
