What cable do i need to hook up my laptop to my hd tv's pc port?

The PC ports on most HDTV's are standard 15-pin VGA ports. If it's blue then it's a VGA port. You would need a male to female VGA cable. Choose the length of the cable accordingly. Make sure to set your laptop to output to the external display and set the input on the tv to PC. Also adjust the resolution on your laptop accordingly.

It could be done in two ways: VGA or S-Video cable. If your laptop has an S-Video out(most do) then all you have to do is buy an S-Video cable and connect it from your laptop to your tv OR you could use the VGA cable. Good Luck.
