What cable/s is required to connect a laptop to a home theatre system?

I need to know what cables i need to connect my laptop to the back of my home theatre system as there are no ports available to use on the actual projector.

  1. no ports? then you cannot connect anything on it...


  2. If u want to connect video you can connect it by svideo. if you just want the audio out you can buy a 3.5mm jack to rca cable from an electronics or audio kind of place. If your home theatre has svideo buy an svideo to svideo cable or use a converter like i do which you plug into the svideo port and it converts it to composite (rca) so then u can use an rca cable to connect it into the video socket of your home theatre.

    So if you want to connect the sound only use a 3.5mm jack (male) to rca (male) cable. And for video use an svideo to composite converter and use an rca to rca cable to connect to home theatre.

  3. You need an 1/8" stereo male to 2 RCA male cable.
