  1. A different type of cable for back-to-back connection of older computers would be a serial port connection with a DIN connector (9 or 25 pin) and the cable would need to be a standard RS-232 cable with sufficient individual wires inside it to connect or crossover to the appropriate pins in the two male or female connectors
