What cables, wires, etc will I need to connect my laptop to my plasma tv?

I'm teaching a class in my home and would like to use my tv as a

chalkboard type thing

I want to connect my comp to my tv so i can type on my comp and my class see it clearly rather than having to buy a chalkboard

You need a VGA cable.  You flat screen must have a VGA input though.  The connector looks like this:

Cable:

These are available at office stores and Radio Shack.  The cable goes from your VGA output on the laptop to the VGA input on the flatscreen.
