  1. you cant beat a "greasy spoon" cafe

  2. La Madelaine bakery and cafe throughout Atlanta it's a French style with outside tables.  All the coffee shops just  look the same:Starbucks, dunking and so on.  I like when the shop is unique, when it offers unique foods, not that stuff you buy at Costco and heat up.  Here in America the average person still resist uniqueness, the majority will patronize the generic shops.  I'm opposite I like the specialized the unique, the the best that culture has to offer.

  3. french style cafe' or l'auberge (a little bit more up-market).

A proper french menu not consisting of garlic, snails, frogs Legs and horses 'cos that is all a fallacy. Real French cooking is one of the best in the world. There is a big gap in the market for this type of outlet, and done correctly you could make a high earner for yourselves

  4. continental cafes.  Where you can eat, drink coffee or beer but no pressure/judgement either way, and watch the world go by.

  5. It would be nice if there was one on the park. The ones they have around here don't have an outdoor area.

  6. I live near a great deli-style cafe. It has great pastries and fresh produces and does lovely coffees of course. It is thankfully independant so not a chain type (Starbucks, Cafe Rouge et al).

It is probably quite continental which I think is why  I like it - I can sit in the garden at the back and pretend I am on holiday on the Med!

Friendly staff and great food = why I go back

  7. No changes - I like local cafes' that serve tea and have a patio outside to sit and relax.  I like quiet, comfortable places when I can go with a friend to talk about anything and everything.
