  1. My new fun gun is a Freedom Arms 45 Colt. I suppose I could use it for a home security gun, but that's why I have a Remington 870.

  2. For a semi auto I like 9mm, or .45 Auto, using cheap ammo for recreational shooting, and Cor-bon hollow points for security/defensive purposes.  As for a revolver, I enjoy the .357 and .44 mags.

  3. I prefer the .45 cal. It has server soldiers well for years, and the ammo can still be bought at a good price in surpluss bulk.

As for Sam, you sir can leave to any other country if you feel Americans are F%^$#d Up. There are no fences, and 20 million illegal aliens can't all be wrong!!!

We are free. It is apparent you have no idea what evil lurks, and that the evil should be terminated by the few brave, or a jury of his peers.

So take your angry young hippie arce to England or Canada or where ever you feel you will be happier, with more civil people. It will give one more job to an immigrant that can appeciate our way of life.

What ever you do, I truly hope you will never fall prey to the wolves that live in every society. Should this happen, I pray you survive and appriciate the men and women who will track the wolf down.

I sir, am proud to say I am the Sheep Dog that protects you misguided ignorant sheep, every day and will do so even though you bash my people.

  4. .357 magnum.   For all-around use, is hard to beat.    For recreational shooting or paper-punching, you can use lowered-powered and inexpensive .38 Special ammo.  For defensive purposes, you can load it with .357 magnum ammo and have the highest-rated one-shot stopper available in a handgun

  5. 40 S&W. I've owned numerous other calibers incl. magnums and while I like the 45 ACP as much as the next man, I really enjoy shooting the 40. A lot of Police Departments have adopted the 40 and that's all the experience talking I need to choose for security.

  6. .45acp or 9mm  but i would use .45acp cause it has stopping power.

  7. My favorite caliber period is the .45 acp.  Here we are 100 years later and it is still the round that others are judged against.

However, the .40 and .357mag/.38 are great choices too.

  8. Glock Model 20 10mm.

    H

  9. 44  Mag

  10. 45 ACP  in a Colt Gold Cup.

  11. 45 ACP is my defense gun, whichever you choose, practice with it.

  12. I only use my pistols for recreation, which the answer is the .22 long rifle in a well-made revolver and semi-automatic I have both. For security purposes a handgun is not what I use. I have a 20 gauge shotgun that fills my home defense/self-defense purposes.

  13. 9mm does a great job for recreation as it is less expensive compared to .357, .38, .40, 10mm, and .45. And yes 9mm still works for security. Many of my local police departments still require 9mm as their duty weapon.

A box of 100 rounds costs about 19 bucks at walmart for range sessions compared to 24 - 30 bucks for the other calibers. Defensive rounds like Speer Gold Dots still cost about 20 bucks for 20 rounds or so at a gun shop.

My two favorite calibers are .45acp and 9mm.

  14. The tried, true, tested, and proven to be a no-nonsense man stopper using 125 grain jacketed hollow points its the 357 Magnum.* You get two (2*) handguns for the price of one because you can also shoot 38 caliber ammo in a 357 Magnum.* Comfortable to carry and shoot.*

  15. Recreation - I shoot a Contender .35 Remmington or .223 round

Protection - Home 357 mag    Bear Country - 44 mag

  16. For recreation I use .44 & .45 Black Powder revolvers and a .22 revolver for 'plinking.'

For security, open carry, .45LC revolver; concealed carry, 9mm Semi auto.

I practice A LOT with ALL my weapons, AND I reload CF
