What kind of fish can I put with a dwarf fuzzy lionfish in a 55 gallon tank with a good amount of live rock. I have some soft coral in it and about a dozen or so snails. I also have 1 condy anemone.

Would it be ok to add a similar sized dwarf zebra lion, and maybe one large clownfish?

  1. I hope you are sure about your i.d. on that lionfish...I've never heard of a "dwarf fuzzy" lionfish and I hope the pet store wasn't pulling your leg by calling it that name. "Regular" lionfish get 18 inches long...

  2. when the lionfish gets older, don't be surprised if it eats the snails. lionfish eat just about anything that fits in their mouth (including clownfish). pufferfish (that will get larger than the lionfish) are just about the only thing you can have in such a small system. unless, of course, you wanted another lionfish (they are compatible together). however, pufferfish sometimes eat coral, so you might be better off with just a lionfish or two.
