  1. Don't buy Aiptek!

  2. "decent digital cam corder under about $150"

    Does not compute.

  3. I'm not sure that you can get one for under $150. There's a good site called www.buy.com which sells mostly new items, and they have lot's of info, it's pretty well known so you're chances of getting scammed or like 1%. Annyway.. you could just buy a digital CAMERA because most of them now have the movie record feature, and the cameras have bettter graphics when taking normal pictures, as well with a 2G memory card, is around 1 1/2 hours of movie time, so it's a pretty good deal in my opinion.

  4. You can get a decent miniDV model for around $150 - for example:

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000M4M...

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000M4O...

    http://www.amazon.com/Sony-DCR-HC28-Hand...

Your computer would need to have a firewire port for transferring videos...as for a editing program - Windows Movie Maker for PC or iMovie for Mac).

  5. If you want a digital camera, I'd recommend trying to budget a little more and going for a Digital MiniDV Camcorder by Canon or Sony. The bundled software and usability of those will be great and you'll find them easy to use and capable of great results too. I've used sony camcorders and had no problems with either of them.
