  1. I think you had asked Hen or Egg?

I think tree, b'coz same as above example. Other bird can't give a hen's egg, so without tree you can't get seeds, that's why tree came first.

  2. Based on evolutionary phylogeny...

    Both, and yet neither.

If you believe in evolution:  The first true terestrial plants were mosses and bryophytes that had spores.  As these evolved, vascular tissues were developed to increase height from the roots and ferns came to be (and they had spores).  Ferns evolved to have modifications to their sporangia -- instead of forming spores, they formed seeds in cones.  Thus, Conifers were developed.  And so on until you have your modern seed. While there are some large, extinct types of ferns that were tree-like, the most basic answer here is the seed.

If you believe in creationalism:  God created the Heavens and the Earth.  God filled the Earth with trees and plants.

  3. the tree because it can just sprung up without seed then starts producing seeds

  4. It's the seed that came first!

  5. the answer is neither.  Cell division is asexual and generally a common means to produce very large cells is by cell fusion to form syncytia (more complex cells).  Plants evolved by cell divison (think of a trees ancestors being yeast and then algae) and that plant (if you could call it that) evolved a mechanism  to propogate itself by seed.  Essentially, a tree wasn't a tree when it evolved the mechanism to reproduce by seed, but if algae is a "tree" then the tree came first, not the seed

  6. first of all to start with we hav to see the evolution...now it is proven that alll the creatures ( multi cellular things) are evolved from single cell.that cell may form a seed then on growing it turns into tree thus.. a seed is the first thing...

  7. Seeds....

  8. Its the tree, because in my belief, God the creator of all things,he filled the land with complete elements including the trees, and many living things for a great purpose.

  9. seed

  10. tree

  11. According to evolutionary point of view , all organisms including plants came to this earth from a jelly like substances i.e. coacervets (but i m not giving detail about the formation of coacervates because it is quite impossible to give detail here, and if you r interested for these please send your address to my i.d) from that jelly like substances all the prokaryotes i.e.both an- oxygenic and oxygenic are grown out, from there body due to certain chemical reaction the chlorophyll develops and therefore the plants are fully grown up. Perhaps from this brief answer u may be satisfy to your question

  12. the answer to that question is....

"a circle can never have a beggining..."

  13. This is relatively easy to answer, although it can be interpreted in two different ways.

The way it is written ("the tree or _its_ seed"), the answer is tree, because the tree had to grow to sexual maturity before it could produce seeds. Also, as pointed out, the tree could have been the result of asexual reproduction.

Interpreting it more broadly than that, the answer is also tree, because non-seed plants came before seed plants. Although they're typically small-statured plants at present, groups such as ferns and lycopsids used to contain many tree species. So, there were trees for millions of years before the evolution of seeds.

Finally, please keep 'gawd made trees the way they are' "answers" out of the Science section -- that type of story telling does not fit with the spirit of scientific inquiry.

  14. cant say!!
