  1. For the sake of this answer I will assume you mean a chicken egg.

The chicken came first.  If you believe in evolution the first chicken was not from a chicken egg.  It came from an egg laid by another bird but a mutation caused a chicken to hatch from that egg.

If you believe in creation as taught by the bible God created everything in six days.  There was not enough time for an egg to incubate and hatch so the chicken had to come first.

  2. The chicken because God made animals first then humans.

  3. The egg, because a non-chicken can mutate and produce a chicken egg, but a chicken egg can't hatch into anything other than a chicken.

In reality it's a fairly meaningless question because, as Darwin clearly showed, the idea of species is a purely human notion, and living organisms aren't really neatly categorised like that. Read the Origin of Species for an insight into what I mean.

    HTH... :-)

  4. The chicken came first. The Bible says "God created all animals" the chicken is an animal. We start start off as eggs the Bible doesn't say God created egg (instead of man). Thats if you believe in the Bible.

  5. Depends if you believe the Bible or no. If so then the chicken came first.

  6. The chicken of course. God created all the animals first. then he created man in his own image.

  7. The egg.

The chicken can't appear out of nowhere.

  8. Science:

A cell eventually evolved into a chicken like creature that laid an egg, that hatched, that grew, that evolved to the modern day chicken.

    Religion:

God made a chicken with an egg inside it. : ]

  9. The egg. Chickens evolved from dinosaurs and so the very first true chicken came from an egg

  10. The egg came first. This is true because you cant say at what point one species evolved into a chicken, ht is the definition for a chicken? It is not a definite answer. So the egg came first.

  11. Egg of some other species that hatched into a chicken instead.

  12. the chicken was all content and happy, leaning up against the headboard.  the egg pulled up the covers and exclaimed, "well! I guess we settled THAT question."

  13. It really depends if you believe in evolution or creation and even then its still iffy

Creation: the chicken came first because God created all the animals and Adam named them.

Evolution: well the chicken had to evolve from another animal so it had to hatch from that egg, but it depends what you call a chicken egg, an egg a chicken comes from or an egg a chicken lays, because the original fowl that laid the egg wouldn't technically be a chicken but its evolutionary ancestor

  14. I think it was the chicken who then had lots of eggs.
