I would like to know what your opinion is and why you have that opinion.

This is a "just for fun question."

However, feel free to back up your answer with facts!!!

I already have my own opinion/answer.

I'd just like to know what the general public has to say on this.

  2. Chicken...

A chicken, by our definition, is a slight mutation of its predecessor, which was not called a chicken. That predecessor laid an egg, and from that predecessor's egg a chicken hatched.

Christians also got the right answer on this one, but did not show their work...

  3. I'd say the cycle is a circle that has no beginning.

    :]

  4. If you're super religious, then it's the chicken. Because God created a 'mature world'. But then again, I'm not super religious. I just asked this question at work one day and got this answer, surprised the heck out of me. The guy didn't miss a beat with it either, I was quite impressed.

  5. The waiter took my order of chicken and my friend's order of eggs.  My friend got his order well before mines, so the egg came first.  =)

  6. Could be either or. As stated by another, a chicken's predecessor, which was not called a chicken, laid an egg, and from that predecessor's egg a chicken hatched. So the first chicken came from an egg that was not supposed to be a chicken. (think of lineage of a mule)

But looking at it another way, were the previous ancestors of the chicken egg layers or giving live birth with no shell? And what were they? At some point if the birth was held up and an egg formed, then you could say the egg came first and the chicken came out of it.

    We will never know.....

  7. the bacon

  8. The chicken would have to come first. This seems to be one of those questions that are a why and a why not or a why not and why.
