What came first: the chicken or the egg?

if you really think about it, the eggs are needed in order to be hatched (creating the chicks).. and the chicken is needed to ly the egg.

Although this is old but let's deal with it 1 more time - According to the Bible, God made all creatures, so it must be the chicken.  According to George W Bush, the scrambled egg came first.

The Cleidoic egg first appeared in reptiles, reptiles then evolved into dinosaurs, which in turn evolved into birds (althought some say birds are living dinosuars).  So the egg came much before the chicken

Egg... think about evolution...  Chickens evolved from some other bird, that most likely laid eggs.
