Ignoring the philosophical implications, I would like to answer from a scientific standpoint.

The Egg came first. I come to this conclusion based on the theory of evolution. Minute changes between generations that allow a species to adapt to its environment. Enough changes over time and it becomes a new species. Therefore, the chickens ancestors were a different species of bird that changed enough so that at one point it could be classified as a chicken. The ancestor (that was not a chicken) laid an egg that became a chicken.

The chicken egg evolved from another primitive form off egg just like the chicken evolved from another form of primitive organism.

Otherwise it's like asking which came first, humans or babies, thinking that humans evolved from monkeys but when they were monkeys they still gave birth to human children.

In the Bible, it says that God created "every winged bird according to its kind", not "every egg according to the winged bird of its kind".  He populated His land with animals, not eggs that later hatched into animals.  The chicken came before the egg.

Fredric Cohen (1959 AD- ) pointed out that, had the egg come first, there would have been no chicken (hen) to lay it, sit on it and keep it warm, so a live chick would never have hatched from it. So the egg needs a chicken. The question now is where did that first chicken come from?

If only an egg that is laid by a chicken and that will hatch into a chicken can be considered a chicken egg: Then the first chicken came from a different type of egg (not a chicken egg) and laid the first chicken egg. In this case eggs (in general) came first, the chicken came after, and the chicken egg came last.
