  1. I know that myth

The pre- or early Hellene Pelasgian (from c. 3,500 BC) belief was that Eurynome produced the Universal Egg and her son, Ophion, wrapped around it, breaking it in half—revealing the entire universe, the deities, and humans.

    after that

    SO,there an henbird came,

    she lay egg

    and from egg came chicken

  2. The obvious, “no-brainer” answer is, “Why, the egg, of course!”

  3. trickk question u wouldnt think its was the egg cause the chicken has to lay the egg and it cant be a chicken cause the chicken had to hatch from an egg tricky question ;^)

  4. eons ago when the worlds oceans were a biomass soup, the wave action washed the concoction upon the shore.  The calcium in the mix hardened into a shell.  inside the heat of the sun facilitated formation, and incubation of the chicken inside. the chicken came out of the shell totally capable of perpetuating it's species.

  5. the juevo

  6. the chicken because if u ask ur self, when the egg hatches, how will the baby take care of its self? so i think that about 2-4 chickens roamed a place, then populated

  7. The egg.  It was laid by a dinosaur.

  8. The science TV show "Newton's Apple" actually answered this once.  It was a funny episode.  Apparently some wise crack sent that question to them to answer.  So they went to a egg-laying chicken farm to talk about chickens, egg laying, and eggs.  At the end they said that from an evolutionary standpoint, the egg came first because of mutations, the embroyo comes first before the actual animal does.  I also was reading somewhere else that animals don't mutate during their lifetime because their genetic material gets changed, but their immediate offspring can mutate!  I heard about this experiment where they put fruit flies under radiation and the fruit flies didn't mutate, but their offspring had all sorts of weird features, like curly wings, etc.

So just to sum up, the ancestors of modern day chickens gave birth to chickens, which means the egg came first.  Yes the egg needed a parent, and that parent was a primitive chicken, which earlier on was a primitive bird, reptile, etc.

  9. the egg
