Definitely Canon.

I think Canon makes the best point-and-shoot cameras.  As for DSLRs, though, it's a tossup: most of the manufacturers make pretty good cameras.  I would stick to Canon and Nikon for DSLRs, but Sony, Olympus, etc. make good cameras as well.

I have been a Canon user for some 35 years.

Check out a DSLR: XT, XTi or the new XSi and if you'd like a 35mm look into the A series like the A-1 or AE1 Progam ...great deals because they would be on the used market.

Canon,Nikon,Sony,Fuji I bought a canon a-590 $160 at walmart. Nice camera for the price good pictures.
