What camera would I need to shoot good pictures of tornadoes?

  1. You'll want a dSLR. (preferably one that is weather sealed)

    You'd probably want a camera that has a relative quick frame rate since things change pretty quickly.

    You would probabaly want a LONG lens (Don't want to have to get too close to a tornado).  That lens should also be as quick as possible as lighting is often the light is not all that good, and a flash will most likely be of little use.

  3. Well, it depends on how much you're willing to put down.

    This would be a nice one, if you had the money:

    It's about four hundred and fifty dollars. If you can afford more than that, it would be a REALLY nice idea, to get the Nikon d80, a more advanced camera, which is around 1000$ with a lens, worth the investment:

    Just be careful with Tornadoes.
