What type/brand/model of cameras did they usually use?

I actually prefer the look of 80's movies over some HD content.

  1. For the most part, film cameras... Take a look at the Arri

    They are what had typically been used (and are still used today) for theater-release type productions. What happens after the film is captured and processed makes a difference, too - Today, it is common for the film to be developed and converted to digital format for editing. In years past the film would stay in a film format and edited (no conversion to digital).
