  5. well for 45 pence in the UK you can get a few stuff actually, depends what your 1st needs are:

    Savers loaf of sliced bread and tin of beans

    a pack of chewing gums

    a fizzy drink or a small juice

    go twice to a public loo at a station and still have 5p left :)

    a small pack of Walkers crisps or any crisps

    a choc bar Mars or similar

    Not all of the aboves together, each could cost roughly 45p

  23. There is a local sweet shop near me where I can buy 100g of sweets for around 45p. At the hospital shop 50 g of the same sweets - costs 38p. I go in the shop and buy the whole bloody jar for £10:20. There is 2.72 Kg of sweets in the jar. The moral is wait until you can buy in bulk - and ask for a discount.
