  1. Snow

    Northern Lights

    Log Cabins

    real scenery

    underground cities (OK Shopping Malls)

    Decent Housing conditions

    Real Maple Syrup

    a thriving economy

only 2 languages spoken French or English

If Canada would accept me I'd be off in a shot!

  2. Bubba Kegs.

    Obese people on mobility scooters.

  3. Nicer, more varied scenery, nicer people, more sensible and less corrupt politicians and policy makers.

    And, yes I would.

  4. BC Bud

  5. mooses

  6. I moved from the other way,Canada to England, and never looked back. Lots of space there but that has its problems too-like travel expense, the total necessity for a car. Not all of the big spaces are habitable.

Unemployment is slightly higher there, believe it or not, and wages in lower earning sectors are often poorer. Medical care is good, but  you can expect waits (just like the NHS) and you have to pay premiums at intervals (the money to support the system is not taken from your taxes as it is in UK.) Holiday from your employer is often only 2 weeks unless you have years with the company, and it is not on full pay as in most UK jobs-you get holiday pay-a small percent. (Many of my Canadian mates never take holidays because of this.)

Unless you can land an excellent job before you go there you are likely not even to be able to get in to Canada, for a start--immigration there is very strict.

That said, a lot of people really love the wide open spaces, mountains and the shopping. It is clean and pretty safe (the actual murder rate is actually about the same as the UK but due to the spread out population it SEEMS less.) Worth going for an extended holiday and seeing how you get on,remember as I said, it is a tough place to get into.

  7. Canada is so Boring, compared to England,

  8. Space is what Canada has.  Even in major cities.

You can see it in the house sizes, the car parks, supermarkets etc..

I believe that the population of Greater London (U.K.) is greater than the whole province of Ontario.

  9. You may double your money but you are payed less. I like bacon land. Go there if you like cold weather and bacon, stay if you like rain and err... tea.... and more rain.

  10. I love Canada, although I want to move from Canada to England lol (maybe I'm jsut bored) it's a good country. fairly similar. a lot cheaper (by your standards).  Here's a comparison (money wise).

You have 100 pounds, you can buy 2 pairs of pants in england. (50 pounds each)

You come to Canada and that 100 pounds becomes $200 and you can now buy 4 pairs of pants (at $50 each).  Does that make sense to you?  Everything is (approximately) the same number value attached but a whole different monetary value over here.  So you're doubling your money when you move.

  11. i am moving there in 3 years with my family to a small town in british colombia brilliant country!

  12. i would never consider moving there...a friend of mine emigrated there...sold his house here & everything - he was only gone 6months...hated it there so returned to England.

so if you are thinking of going...have an extended holiday there first...make sure you like it 100%!
