  1. A Mailbox Magazine idea:

A Flower Tower: Enlarge or reduce flower patterns so that they are about the same size as your blocks.  Attach the flowers and strips of green construction paper (stems) to a supply of blocks. Place the flower and stem blocks at a center and invite the children to build different sizes of flowers.  Compare sizes by using words such as taller, smaller, shorter, and bigger.

  2. Read Peter Cottontail and give them the idea of building Mr. McGregor's garden in the block area.

    *plastic flowers and vegetables

*tape photos of flowers and vegetables to blocks

    *plastic gardening tools

    *stuffed animal rabbits

    *gardening gloves and hats

    *small baskets

  3. in block area you mean the construction area ( building blocks and lego ) ?

why not add farm animals with the building block and get them to build a Farm, then discuss the spring time changes that happen, new life , ect ( animals being born, buds starting to bloom, colours you may see, what clothing to wear  ect) ouyou can do counting of the animals, so you got the maths covered, talking about noises and names and what happens at spring time of the animals ( langague and knowledge and understanding) you can get social and emotional by discussing what it would be life to live on a farm, or even go and visit one. discuss what clothing to wear in spring time and what the weather is like ect,

Or build a pretend pond with the blocks adnd use  plastic frogs and sing the 5 little speckle frogs again discusing the life cycle that happens about spring time tapoles ect. there you get the maths, language , and knowlage and understanding,

Depends on the age  group you have

  4. You could buy a small tent (under $20 or at a local garage sale) and put your block theme in the tent. Our kids loved it.
