  1. military or you could be the one that flies the helicopter for news crew

  2. Dear  its said that flying a helicopter is an art and flying a fix wing is a science so this is really an art go for the training get your license and you will see that people will come to you for the job there is acute shortage of pilots in the world now a days so this is a right time to become a pilot try your luck .

  3. The helicopter industry is doing extremely well and there are tons of jobs once you hace about 1000 hrs of flight expreience. Most pilots become flight instructors to get this experience. Key is to find abusy academy style school to work for. Most schools will consider hiring theyr own students down the line as an instructor.

It is an expensive business to get into and the pay initially could be as low as $20,000-$45,000 - Experience helicopter pilots can make between $51,000 and up to $130,000 in the right markets. Many schools now have financing available.

As a 1000 hr pilot you would be able to work for the offshore oil industry for $50,000-$60,000 a year.

Jobs are available flying for the news (ENG), offshore, EMS (air medical), firefighting, agricultural, firefighting ... and many more

Here is a fairly accurate payscale site

You may benefit from joining a forum site like

    http://www.rotorwingflight.com

There is FAQ section and you can ask pilots online.

    Good luck.

  4. A good thing about being a private commercial-licensed pilot, helicopter or fixed wing, is that you can work it like a second job. Flying tourists on the weekends or what have you. So it can combine your love for flying with some extra profits. Getting the proper ratings and licenses thought will be $$$$$, so it might take a while before you'd turn a profit at it.

Also, a helicopter pilot has to be VERY dedicated and meticulous. I have trouble thinking of many jobs where you could get into as much trouble for just a couple seconds of carelessness. On the extreme minor end of this spectrum, doing something relatively easy to do, like accidentally overtemping the turbine, and the engine has to go in for an overhaul and you are looking for a new job.

  5. Hospital helio person.

    Search and rescue.

    News copter.

    Police chopper.

    and many more

  6. You can't get a license. It's a certificate.  And you'll be able to fly an aircraft with a wing that moves...

Good helicopter pilots do well.  Sounds like maybe you need to think about it a little more though.  Becoming a pilot is more about following a passion than trying to make a lot of money.
