What can I bring as a carry on for Air India?

My mom and I are going to India through Air India. It's just the two of us, so I wanted to know how many carry on bags and personal items (purses/laptop-bag) we can bring. I'd like to know the size the carry on bags that are allowed and the maximum weight for them. pleeease respond quickly because I should probably already be packed =/

what i know is that on air india you are allowed to bring everything besides for a phone or a powerfull laptop they dont have personal t.v's so it might be a good idea to take an mp4
