What can I carry my hamster in?

Question

I want to take my hamster around with me when I'm walking outside. Like, I put him in my purse once and he fell asleep but I'm scared he will suffocate so I am not gonna do that anymore. Is there any pet carriers for hamsters available?

And don' tell me not to, because he loves coming outside of me and I've heard it all so answer my question and don't criticize me.

try finding a small small puppy carrier.

Well, if you insist on doing that the safest way to carry him around would be in a critter keeper which you can get at any pet store.  

I would not keep him in an enclosed environment like your purse.

get a small shoe box and simply cut a hole in the top and cover it with plastic wrap (don't worry they cant bite it when it is like that) and put wood chips and a food dish in it and don't put a water dish in it because when you are carrying it around the dish will spill or tip over

Pet stores sell pet carriers, and you should buy one when you bring your hamster home from the pet store.

crittertrails has one at petsmart they also have funnels and cages that have one that sits on top as an extention to a larger cage on bottom comes in see through pink and green

they usually sell little pet carriers. i've seen them in a nearby pet store they're for like ferrets but i don't see why you cant use them. also, i've seen a school bus type carrier cage for hamsters. (its really cute) try the petco site below. the carrier with the rainbow colored animals is what i would try. =)

i bought the Habitrail ovo carrying ball.  It is a blue ball with a handle on top, you can find it at petsmart in the the rodent section.

It is really cute and my hamster loves it a lot.
