  1. Chili or any kind of pasta get my vote.

  2. WORKING MAN'S HEARTY CASSEROLE

1 lb. ground round (hamburger meat)

    Onion

    Salt & pepper

1 can mushroom soup (do not dilute)

1 can tomato soup (do not dilute)

1 pkg. green beans (frozen or otherwise)

1 pkg. carrots (frozen or otherwise, sliced)

2 helpings of mashed potatoes (opt. - onion rings on top)

Brown meat with onion and add salt and pepper as desired. Drain any liquid from meat. Add mushroom and tomato soup. Add beans and carrots (after they are cooked for required time on package). Top with mashed potatoes (instant or otherwise - use recipe for approximately 2 servings).

May also be topped with onion rings on top of mashed potatoes. If onion rings not used, sprinkle potatoes with paprika or top with parsley to add a little color. Bake in 350 degree oven for approximately 1/2 hour (I bake for 1 hour with lid on casserole).

  4. Vegetable Soup and Homemade Corn Bread

    Spaghetti w/meat sauce

    Grilled chicken salad

Pork Chops w/wild rice and green beans

  5. Rice with chicken pieces

  6. I will often cook extra when I am making dinner to take to work.

Pieces of potatoes, vegetables and cut up sausages etc

    Soups.

    Stews and casseroles.

    and some bread.

  7. My husband doesn't usually take his lunch unless he knows I've made meatloaf the night before. He loves to take meatloaf sandwiches. But I keep the bread and meat separate until he eats his lunch otherwise the bread gets soggy. I also pack him his favorite potatoes chips and a piece of lemon squares. And to top it off you could always leave a little thinking about you note in the sack.
