Ok, I bought my used 2003 Subaru Forester from a dealership nearby on April 1st. We barely drove it. Drove it to Maine last week, left on the 30th of May, and when we got to the hotel, my husband could smell antifreeze.
I called the dealership the next morning, and they advised me to have it towed to a local Subaru dealer. Well, I bought a warranty with it as well. After days of phone calls, and different answers for what was wrong with it, we are now back home and still don't have our car. The warranty company denied the claim, saying that the engine was tamperred with. The car needs a new engine entirely. First, they said it was a head gasket, now this. Anyways, I've been on the phone for 2 days w/ the dealership here, in Maine, and the stupid warranty company (United Car Care)..., and still, no answers. We had to drive a rental home on Sunday. Now, we still don't know whose going to pay for this rental and the cost of repairs. Does the Lemon Law apply to my situation?
