I was pulled over for speeding I gave the cop my license and proof of insurance he went back to his car for a long time. When he came back I asked why did it take so long and he went crazy for about 5 minutes than he threatened to arrest me for not having insurance he than gave me a 450 dollar ticket for speeding and no insurance and walked away laughing

Honestly I have insurance and cant pay a 450 dollar ticket is there anything I can do.

  1. Show proof of insurance as of that date when you go to court.

  2. My suggestion is trying to get as much resource as you can before making final decision, here is a good one.http://car-insurance.easyideas4u.info/ca...

  3. you either had insurance or you didn't. If you did, it should be easy to prove.

The rest of your post seems like pure opinion and personal views and merely represents YOUR side of the issue.

I have always found that offenders tales differ greatly from what really happened. Thats why I love dash cams.

I also love people who believe every post and immediately assume that whatever the person types must have happened. that is ignorance at its finest!

  4. Just bring proof of your insurance with you when you go to court.  If you had it then it shouldn't be a problem for you to show that you were covered, and that should be the end of that part of it.

As for the speeding ticket, your probably out of gas when it comes to that part of it, so be prepared to have to pay for that.

    I wish you the best.

  5. Set a court date and dispute it.  I hear that the issuing police officers rarely show up and then it will have to be dismissed.

  6. Yes you will have your day in court to say what happened and the officers actions and reactions.

Be polite and ask the judge, "Why was I given a ticket?" "Your Honor, the record is clear, I did have and still do have insurance. See the card as proof, that I gave to the officer when he asked for it?" "So now I ask the court, why am I here?"
