What can I do about an old roommate?

I lived with a friend of mine for a few years. After awhile, I got a little sick of her and eventually moved out. I didn't tell her that it was because I was annoyed of her. I told her that I wanted to live with my boyfriend instead. Now after two years of not living with her and not really hanging out with her, she's moving to the same apartment complex as me as well as the same floor as me. I don't want things to go back to the way they used to be where we hung out all the time and she could stop by whenever. What's a nice way to tell her that I'm kind of done with being super close with her?

  1. Well, either you move out from that apartment complex or everytime she drops by tell her you are busy. She'll get the message after a while.

What I don't understand is that you obviously don't like her but does not wish to offend her by being outright. It won't solve any problems if you keep on avoiding the subject. The best is either the two solutions above or tell her that you do not wish to hang out with her since you now have a life of your own.
