My 7 month maltipoo is litterbox trained; when he turned 6 months of age; he became whiney for attention, every minute he sees a person he would whine; if you don't respond right away, he does his toilet business right outside his litter box or in another part of the room, then hides in his doghouse. We tried to confine him near his litterbox, but he get more upset and does more toileting all over the place. Why did this behavior come out all of a sudden and how can we stop this behavior? He gets lots of attention and we walk him daily prior to this behavior.

  1. I'd try crate training- go back to treating him like a baby until he proves himself and earns more freedom
