Question:

What can I do about pain with Dental Spacers ?

I had dental spacers put in two days ago to prepare for braces. I was told it would be painless and for most of them it is, however the one spacer moves every time I swallow. It is quickly becoming very painful. Is there anything I can do? The spacers are not being taken out for 3 weeks so I would like to do something.

  1. Ok. If your spacer CAN move it means there is already a gap in your teeth where it is, but don't pull it out. It will have no pain soon enough and it might even fall out, but don't worry this is normal. One of mine fell out when I was brushing my teeth. So just ignore it for a day or two and it will go away or it will fall out. Either way it's good :)

Hope I could help. And good luck with braces!
