Question:

What can I do about unsatisfactory cosmetic surgery?

I had some cosmetic surgery done about 3 months ago. Everything has healed by now, but it isn't even close to what I expected it to look like. Suing the doctor is a last result because it is a lot of trouble, and the whole staff was friendly to me. So aside from suing, what can I do about unsatisfactory cosmetic surgery results?

The surgery cost $2,000. I want satisfaction.

  1. Maybe do another cosmetic surgery and pay more money, or you can not do the surgery and just be yourself :)

  2. Have you discussed this with the surgeon who did the procedure?  Were your expectations realistic?  Did you READ the consent form you signed?

Many procedures take longer than 3 months to get the final result.  You don't give details about hat you had done, so I can't comment on that.

No lawyer is going to touch your case, unless there is clear negligence and monetary loss.  They care only about the money.  $2000 is worth 5 minutes of their time.

Your surgeon may be able to fix what you don't like, or may be able to explain better what surgery is able and not able to accomplish.

Plastic surgeons don't usually want to take on someone else's dissatisfied patient, so you really need to try to work it out with the first one.

  3. Nothing. You got what you payed for. What, did you think you'd look like friggin' Brad Pitt afterwards or something? Cosmetic surgery can't work miracles.
