I'm currently in college and I need a job for this semester, nothing related with my major just regular job to pay the bills in the meantime. Anyways, I'm 25 and I only have 2 jobs for experience and I have gaps in between them. In terms of availability, I have 5 days including Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I usually don't get called back and last week I got called for one interview but after the interview, they didn't call back and they said if they didn't call you back by this Friday then you weren't going to get the job. what things can I do when filling out the application to get them to call me back? what good tips can you give me to not be nervous in the interview?

  1. Have you tried signing on with a temp agency? Without knowing anything about what you have to offer in the job market, I imagine that some employers would be put off by the fact that you only want a short term job. With temping, this isn't a problem.

  2. Put in n app with someplace like Circle K, maybe try the UPS store. Like you said, you're just trying to pay your bills until classes start again.
