Question:

What can I do for my eye infection?

I had a cornea transplant back in March 2005. I woke up this morning and my eye is swollen shut. I called my eye Dr. and left 3 messages but he will not call me back. I called my regular Dr. 5 hours ago and he is still looking into it. Is there anything I can do to help the infection without a prescription? Or should I just go down and sit in the Dr's office until he will see me?

  1. A) Do NOT go to a family doc for this type of thing

    B) go to your eye docs office and walk in.  You probably will have to wait, but they'll squeeze you in eventually.

  2. If he won't call you back, you need to go there yourself.  Walk in, and get help from your eye doctor, NOT your family doctor.

    This could be really serious.
