What can I do for my life?

Question

I'm a 24 years old girl. Still living with parents, going to college, with a 32 years old boyfriend and I had never worked in my life. Not because I didn't want to but my parents didn't let me. I'm the youngest and only girl of 5 children. Now that I'm 24 years old... I feel worthless, bored, stupid, old, a good for nothing ***** of 24. Where should I start? What can I do? I need help in advices. Please people help me out with this. I'm really needing this cleared up.

Thank your parents for this.  There is something very wrong about a parent sheltering a child to the point that they are 24 and have never had a job.  Contrary to the parent's beliefs, what they are doing is not helping, it is hurting.

Hm...I say as a fellow college student, finish college and get your degree if you already have decided on your major that will take you to a job that you will be doing for the rest of your life. If you have not made this decision yet, perhaps you should find out through maybe a counselor at your college. Once you get your degree, this may change your parents mind and make them see that you have to get your OWN life. After that I suggest that either you get a job or continue to a higher education. If you choose getting a job you should be striving to establish yourself in the real-world and improve your resume for better jobs and/or for your self-esteem. If you choose to postpone your entrance into the real world, do your best there and graduate from that, then you can do what I just said. Continuing to higher education will set you at a much higher advantage, but it is your personal choice.  By accomplishing these clear goals by little baby steps with the help of your counselor/family/boyfriend I am sure that you can succeed in life.
