I have this school project on GLOBAL WARMING and CLIMATE CHANGE. I want to be original and get a good grade. This project has to consist of a chart. Any ideas?

  2. Conduct an experiment to demonstrate the heat trapping effects of carbon dioxide.  Make a tent covered with clear plastic.  Measure the temperature as a function of carbon dioxide.  Use dry ice or a small fire to generate CO2.  You might expect the temperature under the tent to rise with carbon dioxide present.  Figure out how to isolate the CO2 effect from the warming that occurs from the tent trapping heat (like a car in the summer). This would be done outside in the sun.  To demonstrate the toxic effect of CO2, put some fire ants under the tent with a big piece of dry ice.  The CO2 gas released will suffocate them.  Measure the time for asphyxiation to occur.  As you experiment you will think of other things to do.  Keep a chart of time, date and temperature measured for each experiment.

  3. Approach the problem from a different angle.  Show that most of the environmental science is based on a complicated web of theories, more than 89% of which have NEVER been proven as true and so are not scientific fact.  In reality, 95% of the global warming cascade effect is pure theory, built on hundreds of other theories, and not facts.  Oh, yes, when you wave this around under a global warmingists nose, they will point to a very few facts, things which have been imperically measured over time...and say...see??  The globe has warmed 1.4° over the last 100 years.....(oh my!)  Now, they take that little bit of measurement and apply a few dozen theories to it and extrapolate a total lie, always pointing back to this minescule 1.4° rise in temperature over 100 years.

Has the globe warmed before and then gone into an ice age?  We THINK so based on some very lame measurements taken using theoretical experimentation procedures.  But the real FACT of the matter is, we're not totally sure.

Try approaching the project from a neutral ground based solely on imperical logic and FACT not theory.  Ask the hard questions to both sides of the issue....you'll get an A+ for sure.
