My sister is having her bridal shower on August 17th. My husband and I live out of state. I am the maid of honor, we can't fly back because I will have just started my first week of law school. I am sending a box titled Brial Survival to my parents for them to take and have her open which has tons of wedding and sister themed things in it, but I was wondering if I should do something else, or have something else show up as a suprise for her?? But what? THANKS!

  1. Along with the kit, send random gifts here and there...about 1 per half hour...nothing big, but maybe some little stuff from her registry with cute notes about how you wish you were there and that you wish you didn't need an education...funny things that will make her laugh and cry. Have your parents give her the random gifts throughout the shower. Get her a Bride Tote Bag, a sisters picture frame, and something from her registry...  =) Good luck with law school!!!

  2. You could send flowers to be delivered during the shower.  A friend sent me flowers during my shower - I thought it was very thoughtful & the flowers were gorgeous.  Everyone oohed & aaahed over them.

  3. Your idea is a great one, but I would also consider getting her something from her registry. Think about things you used to do together when you were children-did you bake cookies together? Maybe you could get her some cookie sheets and mixing bowls or something.

Did you used to get stuck washing dishes together? Get her a bunch of dish cloths and dish towels.

    Something like that.

  4. I think a corsage would be thoughtful, but also a meaningful gift (perhaps frivilous) that will turn her thoughts always to you.
