I have constant joint pain, and fatigue that happens because of this. I have told my doctor but they just don't seem to take me seriously. I am 24 weeks pregnant and know I can only take Tylenol. Tylenol doesn't do much for the pain and I am suffering for the baby. There must be other methods that are safe for baby. This is pain not associated with pregnancy, I was actually happy when the pain went away for about 3 months of my pregnancy. Now its back and fierce. It makes me not be able to sleep at night and am desperate for some help! Any idea's?

  1. You can take Tylenol I just wouldn't take to much of it at one time. Just don't take Advil or Aspirin because they can thin out the blood going to your baby and cause problems.

That was not nice to say! very inconciderate and clearly you have never gotten pregnant or anything either. Pregnant women get lots of pain during pregnancy and even then you shouldn't have to deal with it. Labor pain is completely different from all other pains during pregnancy. Don't be an *** and be conciderate of other people.

Sorry you have to deal with people like the poster that had posted above me.

  2. your doc probably doesnt do anything because theres really nothing u can do if youre pregnant

  3. Well I have an idea of what you're going through. I had horrible joint pain and pelvic pain as well. I could barely walk. And the doctors didn't take me seriously either. I changed doctors twice, the first "w"itch actually spoke to me in an angry sarcastic tone, the second didnt help at all, and didnt seem to care. I was able to take muscle relaxers during my pregancy, ask your doctor about that. I don't know if it would help your joint pain,(because I only used it at bedtime) but it will help you sleep.

  4. Most of us spend our last trimester in pain, I'm sure it sucks diffrent for each person. Just keep repeating in your head that this is not forever. Keep in mind your not alone but you can't take serious pain relievers without messing up the baby which is why the doctors proubly don't say much because there isn't a whole lot they can do.

  5. Hi,

I think the most important thing to start with is to get your baby into a good sleep routine.  I had massive problems with getting my 4 month old son to sleep.  He would just lie awake and cry for hours, then when he finally went to sleep he would wake every hour or two hours through the night and cry again!  Talk about pulling our hair out .... we were absolutely desperate for sleep!

It was a baby sleep audio program recommended by a friend that finally saved us. We followed the advice and began by creating a baby sleep routine which included bathtime, dimming of the lights, putting James into his crib, final nappy change and then lullabies. We also made recommended changes to his naps during the day and used some of the other recommended techniques. Within two weeks he was sleeping through the night most nights with just the odd night where he would just wake once!

Definitely start by creating a good baby sleep routine though and you could find that solves most of your baby sleep problems.

    Good luck!

  6. talk to your doctor about acupuncture.  many people with fibromiyalgia(sp) do this and it works really well!  you may also want to look for pregnancy yoga.  yoga helps destress your body and mind and when done correctly makes your body physically feel so much better!  talk to your doctor about herbs that you can and can not take and hit GNC for natural remedies for pain.  i have found myself that many herbs work so much better than any chemical i have ever put in my body.  pregnancy is rough on your body.... but at the end you will know that it was all worth it i promise

congrats on becoming a new mommy and good luck

  7. hot bath, bath salts, prop up in bed when your hips and lower back start to bother you.
