  1. you will have to find another dr.

unlike what alot of people are saying you can get your children into school with out their shots.

    all states have wavers.

you might try doing an internet search on no vaccinations. there are drs out there that dont belive kids need all the shots or belive in delayed shots. you just have to do your reaseach

also to thouse that say shots work only as a whole when the everyone get shots......the kids who get the shots wont get the disease then why worry about my kids not having their shots

  2. Sue your current pediatrician for denial of essential medical care and find a new pediatrician. It is illegal to discriminate because of any health concern.

  3. Getting them vaccinated would be a good way to start.  Besides, you can run into other problems without vaccinations.  Schools often require them as well.  When I enrolled in college, I had to send them my vaccination history as well.

  4. I don't blame the dr. you are not only putting your children at risk but everyone else's. Yeah we don't have a major outbreak of things like they did 50 years ago but that is because we vaccinate our children.  Look at other countries that do not vaccinate there children are dying because of things that could be prevented.

  5. Doctors can do that, and no you cant sue like someone said.  It's their practice, their policy's.  Just like theres pharmacists who refuse to fill a Rx for birthcontrol.  They are protected by law so they cant get into trouble.  So either find a doctor who does not believe in vaccinating your children (which will be hard since you need to have them done for school, plus theres too many health risk with not getting them done.) or get your kids updated on their vaccinations and continue to go to that doctor.

  6. you really need to get them vaccinated. its in their best interest. when they start to go to school, alot of public schools will not let them go if they arent vaccinated. its not only for their health, but for everyone around thems health too. please get them vaccinated.

  7. i personally think you should have your kids vaccinated but you could always call and get another pediatrician

  8. Gee... I don't know.... perhaps get them vaccinated??

Is there some particular medical history reason for them to not be vaccinated?  If not, then is sounds like to me you are putting your fears ahead of sound medical knowledge that can protect your children.

  9. If you choose not to vaccinate your children, and your doctor refuses to treat them because of that, then you have only two choices: Vaccinate them or choose a new pediatrician.

I know a family in my town whose son had a very bad reaction to a vaccination, and as a result, the family is following an alternate (delayed, and only 1 vaccine at a time) schedule.  The pediatrician she was seeing refused to have the children as patients because he didn't want to be held liable somehow if they did contract one of those diseases.  So she simply found a different pediatrician.

There are plenty of pediatricians out there who will go along (or even encourage) alternate vaccination schedules.  You'll just need to find one of those doctors.

  10. Im not going to do every vaccine but I will do a few....Ive researched into this a lot and there are a few that your child really doesnt need...ex...the chicken pox vaccine?  Im eventually going to get my child vaccinated with everything but that but im choosing to wait till he/she is older.  I have found a peditrician that will do this for me....call around and find a new one!

  11. Find a new pediatrician. Would you want a close minded pediatrician like that for your children anyway? Our first pediatrician was a right nutter and, while he did refuse from seeing us, I would have fired him anyway.

Try and find a naturopath in your area, contact a local chiropractor and they may be able to give you a few names and numbers. If you can't find one, then try a family practice Dr, they are a little more flexible when it comes to vaccinations.

Pediatricians get "brownie points" from pharmaceutical companies for having a certain percentage of their patients vaccinated on schedule, so they can be real idiots about them.

    Good luck!

  12. Why are they not vaccinated?  Yes there are side effects in a low number of cases but the benefits out weight them.

In my state you can not enter a child into school without them.

I don't blame your pediatrician.  If you can't afford the shots there are clinics out there with low or no cost for the shots.

  13. Why do they need to be seen by the Dr? He probably figures that if you don't care to have them vaccinated then why care to have them seen by a Dr? Just my opinion....not sure why you chose not to have them vaccinated but that may be why your Dr refuses to see them. Good Luck

  14. Honestly I don't blame them.  You cannot have your child in any school, daycare, etc. without vaccinations.  I know there are a lot of parents who do not agree with getting shots but the pros outway the cons when it comes to having your children protected.

  15. Well you just have to find another doctor.  Just like it is your right not to protect your children from dangerous preventable diseases, it is the doctor's right to protect his other patients by refusing to see yours.

  16. Stop depending on everyone else to get their kids  vaccinated so your children can stay healthy. Get your kids vaccinated. Your other option is to switch pediatricians.

  17. get them vaccinated...

i dont agree with not having your kids vaccinated. for their protection and health i would get it done.

  18. Find a new pediatrician. Because that is your choice to have your childen vaccinated. They should not be judgemental like that. That is wrong. I would start looking for someone different.

  19. Get a different doctor

If they are refusing to give your children care over something like shots, then I wouldn't be so sure if I would want that dotor seeing my children anyway.  Most doctors would want to continue seeing your children in hopes to convince you to get them vaccinated.

    Good luck!

  20. Get them vaccinated.  Would you rather see your children lying in an ICU bed a couple years down the line dying of a preventable disease like polio or the measles?  The benefits far outweigh the risk.  Your doctor is probably trying to keep the rest of the patients in his office, not to mention his staff, from the potential risk of exposure.  Sure the vaccinations keep children safe from diseases, but even vaccinated children can get measles or mumps or rubella.  The difference between the vaccinated and unvaccinated children is that the vaccinated children will not be killed by the outbreak.

  21. Take them to the Health Department.

Please get them vaccinated.  Which ones haven't they had?  All of them?

  22. If you don't get them vaccinated you won't be able to get them into school. For my freshman year of high school I needed to get three shots. One of which is now a mandatory necessity for teenagers. So therefore I think you should get them vaccinated.

If you don't wish to do so...well then they will have to go to the doctor one day and get routines of shots. You wouldn't want them to endure that pain--would you now?
