What can I do if the car I financed a year ago has a bad engine, when the lot sold it to me.?

  1. Well, you fix it and keep driving, obviously.  And pay the debt off too.  Then, drive it another 10 or 15 years without making any more debts.  That was an easy question.

    Try living without a car payment - you'll like it.


  2. Nothing after a year. If you had any chance it would of been in the first month or so but not now.

  3. There's really nothing you can do. It's been over a year since you bought the car. If you try to take any kind of legal action you wont get anywhere because all they have to ask is, why did you buy the car if you knew or thought it had a bad engine? If the car is under some kind of warranty take it back to the dealer where you bought it from and have them fix it if the warranty is still good on it.  

  4. If it took a year of you driving it before there was a problem, why do you say the engine was bad when you bought it?  If it lasted a year, that engine was OK.
