  1. May be this site can help you

  2. Get good grades, score well on SAT and ACT and NMSQT, take all the advanced placement classes you can get, take lots of chemistry, take latin (by correspondence if your school doesn't offer it), participate in extracurricular activities (sports, arts, AND charities or community service). Start networking NOW--look for local contacts that are graduates of Princeton or Harvard--how about contacts through your family physician? Try to get in a high school co-op program (or summer science program). National laboratories and other science organizations have these. Look into courses at your local university that are open to high schoolers in summers. Start reading up on neurosurgery (use your library) techniques. Learn enough to be coherent and correspond with authors.

  3. You just need to work as hard as you can. Get good grades, and if your school provides it, take IB (International Baccalaureate) or AP (Advanced Placement) classes. Also, do lots of extra-curricular activities, like a sport or any fine arts. You want to show that you're a hard worker and love learning, and you have lots of other passions besides academics.

Add: Also, you might want to work extra hard in science, especially chemistry and biology, and in math. That's what colleges will look at if you want to study medicine.

  4. You need to work as hard as you can,day and night. No matter what, considering the fact that you want to be neurosurgeon.Princeton and Harvard are Ivy league schools and are known around the world. There are students, just like you,ALL AROUND THE WORLD whose perhaps only dream is to go into an Ivy league school. Therefore, you need to be extraordinary. They can find any aplicant who has a perfect GPA,SAT scores, extra curricular activites, and community service.Let's say you have all that, what makes YOU different? Why should they pick you?

Also, ask this to yourself, why Princeton, why Harvard,or any other Ive league school? Why do you want to be accepted into those school so much?

The most important question:What do you know about these schools?

Do they have an amazing medical branch? Why do you think, after graduating from such school, you'll be a great neurosurgeon?

The trick is to know everything about the school as you can, research it,sign up for their mailing list, visit the school.

Most importantly,do something EXTRAORDINARY.Do something that helps others and sets you apart from every other applicant.

If you need more advice,or any other questions, write it in your additional notes of your question.I'll check back.

    Good Luck!
