I'm pretty bored... and watching wasted people in Courtney Place just doesn't do it for me...

  1. There isn't really anything to do. I go there alot for business, and because I have family there, but the two most exxciting things are really the cable car the the beehive.

  2. Visit the Rose Garden, a part of the Botanic Gardens. Even if you don't walk much around the rest of the Botanic gardens, you mustn't miss the rose garden. You could have tea and a beautiful tour around the roses.

Visit the Schoc chocolate shop, taste their different varieties and buy some back for souvenirs!

  3. Get a day trip ticket and catch the buses for a scenic tour. The No.3 (Lyall Bay) and No,1 (Island Bay) end at some lovely beaches. People watching from buses can be fun!

Take a ride up the cable car and walk down through the botanic gardens.

Te Papa National Museum if that's your sort of thing.

  4. Take a gander of the turbine on Hawkins Hill and the adjacent predator-free reserve. Great views too.

Or just along the road is the Northland tree-tops walk.

Don't walk through the bush at ground level, do it along the tree-tops.

Walk to the Red Rocks - don't get bitten by the sealions.

Take the ferry to Day's Bay and stop off to search Somes Island, not very many locals have done that.

Or prepare yourself adequately and visit Butterfly Creek, or go along the coast to Baring Head. or-

take the Gutbuster over to Orongorongo.

When you've done these, let us know on these pages, and I'll put up some more suggestions.
