  1. Take The KLIA Express to KL Sentral, switch to the LRT to get to Suria KLCC for shopping, and leave ample time to return to KLIA via the KLIA express. Please allow one hour travel time using the LRT to travel to and fro between KL Sentral and KLCC, plus one more hour for the KLIA Express travels.

  2. Tkae KLIA Express only 28minutes going to City, Go to KLCC and Bukit Bintang. Have fun.

  3. Hi Avanti ,

    It's dnd on your interest.

    Shopping?

~take a quick ERL to Sentral KL . Then ride a KL Monorail straight to IMbi or Bukit Bintang Station for a quick fix of shopping.

    Sightseeing?

~Kuala Lumpur is too big for a sightseeing in 8 hours. You might get fatigue if you attempt to do so in 8 hours!

~take te cab and visit Putrajaya. They are now providing shuttle bus service around town.

    Food?

    ~never try the airport food!

~again take a quick ERL to Sentral KL . Then ride a KL Monorail straight to IMbi or Bukit Bintang Station for international cuisine. You may spoilt for choice suck as Chinese, Western,Middle East, drop by to the Feniggen irish Pub, Indonesia and the list goes on....

  4. sleep

  5. Take the express train to the city centre, do not take a taxi, as this is far more costly and takes more time.

Visit the Petronas Towers, the view from the sky bridge is amazing.

    Have fun

  6. You can take a domestic flight to Borneo and pay a visit to Gindy's crab and Ganja farm................

  7. From memory it's about a 40 minute taxi ride from the airport to the city or you can use the train. It's well worth going to see some of the sights and there are coach tours that you could pre-arrange.

If nothing else then go and see the Petronas towers and wander round the huge shopping mall beside it. Just remember that it is going to be very hot!

    Have a great trip.

  8. Eat some of the GORGEOUS food! It's LUSH!!!!

Shop and look around. Go to Berjaya Times Square or visit the petronas towers because its world famous.

Dry durians because you won't get the chance to in other countries unless you're in indonesia or borneo too.

Internet cafe? Go to the markets?

  9. You have not mentioned whether it is the main KLIA or the LCCT -

If you want to get into KLCC,  you will need about say, 2 hours to go there and back   to the airport.   You need to check-in for your next flight one hour before flight time, so that is 3 hours off, leaving you with 5 hours to enjoy  - so take a raxi to go downtown to the Timbang Walk area for the shopping centres and the KL towers.....Back at KLIA, make use of some of the free facilities to refresh yourself. (not available at LCCT).   Be aware of the traffic jams -  watch your time.  It may take 2 hours from airport to KL city centre(one way), depending on time of day.   Best to take the train....

  10. Well, you have time to make a short trip to Kuala Lumpur ( if you have never been there ). To save time, take a taxi to the Kuala Lumpur city centre. I think you should make a stop at the no. 1 landmark in Kuala Lumpur, the KLCC and then go to the KL Tower. As one has to queue to ascend to the observation floor of the tower, there might be a long queue. There isn't much on top there but you can get a bird's eye view of the city and it's worth it if you could go up there. If you choose to miss the KL Tower, take a short taxi ride to the Merdeka Square ( another major landmark in Kuala Lumpur, mostly for photo snappings ), Central Market ( for souveniers shopping ). These two places are just next to each other. Remember do not spend more than 3 1/2 hours in Kuala Lumpur. A taxi ride from KLIA to Kuala Lumpur would take about 1 hour ( to-fro - 2 hours ).

If you prefer a less hectic trip, then just go the the new administrative center of Malaysia, Putrajaya which is just about 20 minutes from KLIA. In Putrajaya, there are many unique looking buildings , beautiful lake, a botanical garden. Tourists mostly come here for photo snappings and to relax. No shopping here though. You'll have more than enough time to visit the whole city. However since this place is huge, you have to chartered a taxi to bring you around.
