Question:

What can I do on a really long flight to Taiwan?

I leave on Saturday morning for Taiwan. My plane goes from PA to TX to Japan and then to Taiwan. I need something to do while I'm just in the airports during the connecting times and while I'm on the actual plane. I get restless and fidgety. I don't like to sit still. I have 2 books packed in my carry on as of now. I also have an iPod and a Nintendo DS. Any ideas for things to do in both the air ports and on the plane? I also need ideas for the way back too.

  1. whenever i go on my 22 hour flight to malaysia i always just enjoy the entertainment avaiable, or just chow down on a snack. bring paper work that needs to be done or something.sleep is alos a good choice. you could do inflight comfort exercises.(Neck rolls. ankle rolls, knee lifts, shoulder lifts, forward flex, knee to chest, foot pumps, and knee ankle cirles.

  2. try and learn to do somehting you've always wanted to do, like when im really bored for long periods of time i work with string, beads, and hemp to make braclettes and anclets. right now i have 4 braclettes on that i made while being overcome with boredom. if there has ever been anything youve seen that looks intersting and you wanted to try, buy a instructional book and learn on the plane.

  3. Sleeping is always a good thing. I also like to people watch and sometimes make up little games while I'm doing it. When I was waiting in the Paris airport, I tried to guess how many Americans were walking by based on appearance and any conversation I overheard. I know that sounds really boring, but it kept me entertained for a surprising period of time. If your iPod has the video capability you can watch movies too.

    Have a great trip!

  4. wow i feel your pain

i go back there in the summer too

    im always really bored

    well you could:

    play cards

    read

    i like to draw =D

sleeping gets the flight over fast

think of things to do when you get there

    watch movies

    i wish i had a ds *sigh*

  5. Sleep, and join the mile high club.....Even if it is only with Mrs. Palmer in the bathroom!

  6. almost all international airlines (especially ones serving the US) have inflight entertainment for you. You can watch movies from a screen in the seatback in front of you. This is the best option as it keeps you occupied. Check out your airline's website before you go to see what is showing. Also make sure to stand up and walk around every couple of hours to prevent getting DVT, a condition that affects the blood in your legs and occurs most commonly on airplanes. Enjoy the flight.

  7. Your iPod is probably going to run out of power before the end of the trip, so use it sparingly. You will probably have in flight movies for the Texas-Japan leg so that will help. Sleep on the flights as much as possible, particularly the Pacific leg. At the airports walk around and check out the shops and stuff.
