That is a really broad question, and the answers are as infinite as the Internet.To the point, it really depends on your skills, both on a computer and in general.

If you are intelligent, devoted to the idea, and have capital you can jump into online trading- stocks or the forex market. I'm not even going to give links for those. It's a serious thing and although the potential is there for making a lot of money it works both ways and you can lose everything. You should do serious homework for that idea. I’m giving you a link to one of my own pages if you may find that interesting. It’s not selling anything (although I admit the site itself does), rather that page has a short write up about being very careful entering the online trading world.

As someone else mentioned, there are many jobs to be found that are done by people at home on a pc. They range from answering customer service emails, transcribing records, and many others like that. One interesting item I came across awhile back was something from Amazon called mTurk. Basically they are paying humans to answer questions and build a very dynamic database. It can be found at

I'm actually going to follow up on that one myself soon. It sounds interesting and it's Amazon- I consider that reputable.

On the other end of the scale, there has been a big increase in make-your-own-sites. You upload pictures and art work and put them on things to sell. These items are made on order, so you have no investment. Most have free stores, a few offer stores for a domain you pay for hosting. I use one for some items I sell on one of my sites. Sites like mine, you can even have others open their own store using an affiliate link- and you make a profit from their store! However, posting my affiliate link would violate some Yahoo rule I’m sure so just do a search for make your own and you’ll find toms of hits.

To mention something that should be common sense- just like anything else, if it sounds way to good then it is. Decide what area you can do, and then search for something in that field. Online trading, customer service, data entry, art - you name it, the world has it.

I work from home on my computer.  I sell things.  it is pretty cool.  I make about 20 an hour 9 base pay plus commission.  I just log into a server and take inbound sales calls.  pretty easy work and good pay.
