What can I do organically to get rid of ants/anthills in my lawn and gardenbeds?

  1. Boil a pot of water and pouring it on the ant hill.  I use this technique in my yard and it works great.  It does not eliminate new ant hills from forming but gets rid of the current ones and I now have less of a problem with ant hills in my yard.


  2. Pour boiling water on the anthills.  Be careful, because it also kills plants.

  3. Try borax  or diotemaceous earth mixed with sugar. Place piles near the ant hills and soon they will all ingest it and die. By soon I mean withing a week or two, so you'll probably have to put the mixture out more than once depending on the weather.

    No ants to build more anthills.
